SUMMARY:Friday Night Sound Waves 10yr Anniversary Series: Spred the Dub
DESCRIPTION:From the earliest seasons\, Spred the Dub helped carve out a Sound Waves lane all their own. Guided by their long-standing mantra—Good Time Reggae—their sound is bass-driven\, groove-forward\, and rooted in feel rather than flash. These are sets that unfold naturally\, inviting the crowd to settle in\, move together\, and let the night take its time. \nSpred the Dub is led by Mick “Mick Rude” Swigert on vocals and rhythm guitar\, alongside Kevin “K-Jo” Johnson on bass and Ryan Cross on drums\, forming a rhythm section that knows exactly when to push and when to give space. Markis Hernandez (sax) and Sam Szpendyk (trombone) lift the sound with horn lines that cut clean and bright\, while Elijah Taj Gee adds movement and texture on keys. On lead guitar\, Hunter Hutchings absolutely shreds\, reminding everyone why this band is as technically strong as it is generous. \nAcross five Sound Waves seasons\, this group of original artists\, with their own releases\, touring history\, and musical voice\, helped define the series’ early foundation. Their nights weren’t rushed or scripted; they were built on flow\, connection\, and trust in the music.

SUMMARY:Friday Night Sound Waves 10yr Anniversary Series: Joel DaSilva & Friends
DESCRIPTION:Few artists embody the heart of Sound Waves quite like Joel DaSilva. A guitarist\, singer\, and songwriter with deep Chicago blues roots and a global musical lens\, Joel brings a sound that’s raw\, soulful\, and unmistakably real. His music blends blues\, roots rock\, garage soul\, and Americana into something entirely his own—driven by instinct\, history\, and endless momentum. \nAt Sound Waves\, Joel’s appearances have evolved into something special. Each return becomes an All-Star Blues Jam\, curated by Joel and fueled by the best blues musicians in South Florida. Nothing is scripted. Songs stretch\, musicians rotate\, and the night unfolds as a true musical conversation—different every time\, always alive. \nFor this All-Star Blues Jam\, Joel is joined by an exceptional lineup of musicians:John Grillo on drums\, Robert Sherber on bass\, Kevin Muncy on saxophone\, Scott Rowell on keyboards\, and Rockin’ Jake on harmonica and vocals. Together\, they bring depth\, spontaneity\, and a shared language rooted in blues tradition—ready to follow the music wherever it leads.
