Friday Night Sound Waves, the free weekly concert series presented by the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Beach BID, welcoming locals, visitors, the young and the young at heart to enjoy some of South Florida’s best musical talents. On Friday, April 15, Sabor Latino takes the stage, bringing the excitement of salsa and Latin Jazz tunes that are great for listening or dancing. Attendees are invited to come early to enjoy a variety of pre-concert activities, ranging from lawn games to open workouts, in addition to local restaurants and vendors, providing a rotation of food, drinks and handmade crafts, clothing, and accessories to stroll and shop before, during and after the show. Spring Fling EGGstravaganza
The 2nd Annual Spring Fling EGGstravaganza on Saturday, April 16, takes a groovy, retro-inspired twist on the seasonal celebration and presents a free, fun-filled day of activities and entertainment, sponsored by the businesses on on Fort Lauderdale Beach which make up the City’s BBID. Activities start at 9am with a Farmer’s Market and Little Yolk’s Yoga before the the 5,000 +Egg Hunt on the Main Lawn. Throughout the day there will be Live Music, Games & Contests, Arts & Craft Stations, Complimentary Quick-draw Caricatures and Balloon Art Stilt Walkers roaming throughout the park. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their retro-inspired Easter finest to make the most of the various selfie stations, including the vintage 1970’s Good Times Roll VW Bus and Peace Sign Bunny Ears throughout the park.
