Whether it’s a sunrise yoga class, beachside concert, or brunch with your best four-legged friend, you never have to go far to be at the heart of it all on Fort Lauderdale Beach. From early morning until late night, our calendar of events offers a little something for all interests and unique experiences welcoming everyone under the sun.
Come out on Aug 31 from 9:00 a.m to 11 a.m. for a beach cleanup and picnic at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park! As part of their Summer Shore Sweep series, Synergetic Productions connects like-minded people while creating community through intentional and conscious events. Participants will enjoy a picnic sponsored by Kings Bay Entertainment with local, in-season fruits, and learn about the Microtrash Education program with Hugh Taylor Birch Park.
All ages are welcome to participate, making this a perfect event for the whole family. Students can also earn community service hours while enjoying a day of sun, sand, and sustainability!
*PLEASE RSVP TO THE EVENT* this helps with headcount! But you are all welcome to just show up!
Please meet at picnic tables in between numbers 4,5, & 6
Parking: FREE in the beach hammock lot, first parking lot on the right after entering the park. Please mention that you are coming to the beach cleanup upon entry. The park ranger at the entrance will help guide beach cleanup attendees to the designated parking area. We recommend arriving no later than 9 a.m. Carpooling is encouraged.
Items Provided: Water, gloves, buckets, garbage pickers (limited).
Encouraged items to bring with you: Reusable water bottle, gardening gloves, bug spray, hand fan, sunscreen, towel, comfortable and protective clothing from the sun, sunglasses, hats, bathing suit (optional if you plan on getting in the water), and a change of clothes.
