Whether it’s a sunrise yoga class, beachside concert, or brunch with your best four-legged friend, you never have to go far to be at the heart of it all on Fort Lauderdale Beach. From early morning until late night, our calendar of events offers a little something for all interests and unique experiences welcoming everyone under the sun.
Seas & Greetings: Grow Your Heart Holiday Drive
As part of GrinchMAS weekend, The LOOP invites the community to take part in our Grow Your Heart holiday fundraiser — a two-day celebration of generosity benefiting two organizations making a real impact across Broward County.
On Saturday, December 6, we’re collecting donations for the Humane Society of Broward County, helping provide comfort, care, and second chances for animals in need. Monetary gifts are welcome, and guests may also bring physical pet item donations — toys, treats, food, bedding, cleaning supplies, and more — using the official wish list as a guide.
On Sunday, December 7, we partner with Feeding South Florida to help fight food insecurity during one of the busiest times of the year. Support can be given through monetary contributions — where every $1 provides 4 meals — or by bringing shelf-stable food donations, guided by the Feeding South Florida wish list.
Grinchmas may bring the mischief, but this weekend is all heart.
HOW YOUR SUPPORT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
For the Humane Society of Broward County (Dec 6):
- $10 can help supply enrichment toys to keep pets active and comforted
- $25 can help stock soft bedding and blankets
- $50 can help cover intake vaccines for a shelter pet
- $100 can help fund medical care for an animal in need
- Physical donations encouraged: toys, treats, food, cleaning supplies, leashes, bedding, and more — see the Humane Society Wish List for details
For Feeding South Florida (Dec 7):
- $1 = 4 meals for children, families, and seniors
- $10 provides 40 meals
- $25 provides 100 meals
- Shelf-stable donations welcome: canned proteins, rice, pasta, beans, peanut butter, cereals, and boxed goods — see the Feeding South Florida Wish List for specifics
