There is no doubt this is a most challenging time for our community, nation, and the world. For the hospitality industry and our businesses on Fort Lauderdale Beach, we too, are sailing through uncharted waters. Our existence revolves around opening our doors to new friends from near and far and welcoming them in, not closing them. We experience joy when people congregate, laugh, dance, and smile instead of socially-distance. Our reward comes from sharing milestone moments and providing the gift of time alone, connecting with business colleagues and family vacations with loved ones.
Our full beaches fill our hearts.
Taking care of our guests fills our soul.
And while this current situation has left Fort Lauderdale Beach and the businesses which stretch its shoreline empty, we have a good feeling your camera roll is full of all the beautiful memories you’ve made here.
Taking a cue from the recent call to action to flood the feeds of our social channels with beautiful photos of the beach or places where you have been but do not appear in them, we are going to take this one step further.
Each day, starting today, March 30, 2020 and for the next 30 days, we are going to ask you to #FillInTheBlank spaces to a question we poston our Facebook Page. The challenge is to post photos in the comment field with people in it, and if not yours personally, then to scour those restaurant, hotel, attraction and event pages and repost one of theirs.
Comments are welcome, and we encourage you to tag your family, friends, or business colleagues in the photos, or those whom you look forward to making a new memory with when you can visit again.
Hashtag your photo #fillintheblank #myftlb for a chance to have your photo and memory shared in our feed.
On behalf of our business community, we look forward to seeing your faces on our timeline, until time allows us to see you in person again.
