Fort Lauderdale Beach’s favorite concert series, Friday Night Sound Waves and new Saturday Farmers, Antiques and Artisan Market, super-size their regular weekend activities for a two-day celebration over The Big Game weekend on January 31 and February 1. The family-friendly programming which highlights the local community through food, art, fitness and live music experiences, as well as its strong ties to professional football, is the only free to the public event sanctioned by the Miami Super Bowl Host Committee in Fort Lauderdale.

“The concept for this weekend stemmed from the realization that professional football and Broward County have a solid connection,” stated Arianne Glassman, producer of Friday Night Sound Waves. “Through Week 16 of the 2019 NFL season alone, 52 players are wearing an NFL jersey, representing players from 19 different Broward County High Schools and 24 NFL clubs. When we say the next 100 years of NFL starts in the 954, it really does.”

The Friday through Saturday event programming, sponsored by the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Beach Improvement District (BID) Community, is free to the public and family-friendly.
